Gran Fondo Cycles is proud to be a sponsor of The Back Yard Burgers Cycling Club , one of the South's newest cycling organizations, and designed to be one of its best. With the strong support of sponsors such as Back Yard Burgers, David C. Jones Investments, and the Gran Fondo in Nashville, the club plans on using technology to unite and focus the efforts of a community of cycling enthusiasts and racers from all over the area.

Back Yard Burger's goals are threefold: to create a unique club that allows cyclist of all abilities a place to come together and enjoy their cycling experiences; to identify promising regional racers and provide them with opportunities to hone their skills; and to create and promote a strong positive image for bicycling in the community-at-large.

BYB Club Director Robby Fromin appreciates the support of Gran Fondo and owner Lynn Greer. According to Robbie, “The Back Yard Burger Cycling team is very fortunate to have Gran Fondo as a sponsor. Though there are many shops out there that support cycling clubs and racing teams, the passion and excitement for the sport that the folks at Gran Fondo have is unparalleled in my 20 year cycling career.”
”Lynn has always been a pleasure to deal with at the shop. He knows the sport and the products as well as anyone in the business, and is extremely helpful in working with us to select and service all of our team's needs.”
”The selection and depth of product at the shop is another real plus. When you have riders racing around the country every weekend during the season, being able to walk in or call and get immediate service and the exact stuff you need is priceless.”
Over time, The Back Yard Burgers Cycling Club hopes to create events, teams, and experiences for members and others to partake in and benefit from. The club is already developing a road racing team for 2003 that will support 12 young riders from across the region as they develop their skills. Other projects well underway include a school bicycle safety program, a Memphis-area bicycle rodeo, and a bicycle road race.
