December Rides
Gran Fondo Cycles will continue the regular weekly Sunday Group Rides for the Winter season at 12:30 PM, beginning December 7th. The rides leave from the front parking lot of the store. There will be no group ride the week of December 28.
As we can't count on the weather to cooperate with our schedule at this point, here are some general guidelines we use to determine if we will host the group ride or not: We will ride if the temperature is above 25 degrees F and the roads are dry and above 45 degrees F when the roads are wet. If it's snowing, we're not going...
The rides are designed to attract participants riding at a variety of speeds. Specifically, there will be two distinct routes, offering a shorter and slower paced option (25 - 30 miles), in addition to the longer, moderate paced option (45 - 55 miles). Cue sheets will be available at the beginning of each ride and the two routes will share the same starting and ending route. Riders will naturally group into clusters riding at their own pace, with planned rest stops on the longer route for regrouping. Riders can ride at their own pace in a group setting and know that other ride participants will be traveling the same route.
Watch our website for changes or updates to our riding schedules. |
