Gran Fondo's own shop girl Katharine Carroll left Nashville in 2006 to pursue her dream of riding in the Pro circuit. We all miss her in the shop, but everyone who knows her couldn't be more excited about her prospects for great success in the racing circuit. I've actually had a few people ask in the store, "so what's your connection to that girl?" SHE'S OUR DAUGHTER!!!! Lynn's the one who took one look at her when she was ending her soccer career at Vanderbilt and said, "We've got to get her on a bike!" The rest is history...
Los Altos, California – Team TIBCO came out of the warm and muggy Southeast on fire, with U.S. National Road and Criterium Champion Brooke Miller winning four of the six criteriums the team contested, on the strength of exceptional work by her five teammates.
Native Nashville racer Katharine Carroll will be coming home for a visit on the weekend of May 2nd. Katharine will be returning from a two week tour of European races as a part of the U.S. National Team. Katharine will be joined in Nashville by the professional women of her domestic team TIBCO. Watch for these six women as they soak up a little rest and recreation in Nashville before moving toward their next stage race in Arkansas.

After two great years with Aaron's Professional Women's Team, Katharine found herself looking for a new contract as Aaron's decided not to continue their foray into pro cycling for another season. Katharine will continue to race with the U.S. National Team in addition to her domestic racing with Tibco.
